Arthur Ooghe, Data Mining & Statistical Research, will be presenting at this year’s OARSI 2024 conference. Join Arthur Ooghe and Samuel Branders, Data Mining Scientist Director, as they present Cognivia and unveil their poster titled “Modeling the Expectations for Improvement in Osteoarthritis Trials to Enhance Management Strategies.” Poster sessions will take place on Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM (EDT).

The poster delves into the critical aspect of understanding and modeling subject expectations in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), particularly in the context of chronic pain trials such as Osteoarthritis (OA). Through the analysis of data from two recent OA RCTs, we aimed to develop a comprehensive model that elucidates the sources and influences of subject expectations. This model not only enhances our understanding of the placebo response but also provides valuable insights into optimizing management strategies in clinical trials.

We eagerly anticipate presenting our findings and engaging in fruitful discussions at OARSI 2024 in Vienna. We are grateful for this opportunity to contribute to the scientific community’s understanding of osteoarthritis management strategies.
